Committee / Club Roles
As a community club we rely on parents for the effective running of the Tigers. The committee governs the club and “club roles” ensure the smooth operation of training, game days, social and fundraising events. The running of the canteen is a paid position. We welcome new parents willing to help so if you would like to participate then please email the club secretary [email protected] or approach any of the committee members.

Coaches and Managers
Coaches. NDTJAFC has a fantastic group of experienced and accredited AFL coaches. All coaches work with the Club President and seniors coaches to build and deliver a training pathway for all players from AUSKICK to U17 leading to graduation to seniors. This includes lateral recruits who join at any stage as well as merging representative pathways and opportunities.
Assistant Coaches. NDTJAFC welcomes parents and older junior players to nominate as an assistant coach leading to future coaching appointments.
Coach Training. As part of a range of initiatives to support community football bounce back, we are excited to announce that the CoachAFL membership fee of $49.50 will be removed for all coaches registering.
Managers. The role of team manager is vitally important for smooth operation of all teams off field requirements at training, pre, posts and during games. This allows the coach to focus on the player development and game requirements.
Coaches and Managers will be in contact with their team players/ parent members and provide their contact email and phone numbers directly via Team App.

Game Day Roles / Volunteers
Community sporting clubs like ours are only able to function with the active involvement of all club members. We have an all hands on deck approach. There are many ways you can help.
Game Officials. All teams are required to fill the mandatory official roles on game day in accordance with AFLSC by laws, including: Ground Manager, First Aid Officer at home; and Team Runner, Water Runner and Goal Umpire at all games. Being out there helping to run the game is a great way to support your kids. Please send nominations to [email protected] or to your team manager. First Aid training requirements are outlined below.
Fundraising. The Club conducts a number of fundraising activities to raise money for player equipment and capital projects. These include the Bunnings BBQs, social events and raffles. Assistance is sought from Tigers Community to run these events.
Canteen and BBQ. The Club operates a canteen and BBQ at all home games to provide a service to players and spectators. This is a key part of club fundraising. The canteen is managed canteen coordinators and staffed from each team parents/guardians. See canteen section for more detail.
We understand that it can seem a little intimidating to put your hand up if you have never done these roles before! Help and guidance from other experienced members is always available and training on the job as required. Roles can be shared

First Aid Officers
First Aid and Emergency Response is a vital function on game day. To be a first aid officer, you need to have completed a current certified first aid course. Many club members have the above through work or other activities which is acceptable for club use. All First Aid training is funded by the club through a local certified training provider in Wollongong. Please send nominations for First Aid training to our First Air Coordinator Sean Cooke.
