Senior Coaches and Managers
Coaches. NDAFC has a fantastic group of experienced and accredited AFL coaches. All coaches work with the Club President from both Juniors and Seniors to build and deliver a training pathway for all players from AUSKICK, Junior U9 to U17 leading to graduation to Seniors. This includes lateral recruits who join at any stage as well as merging representative pathways and opportunities.
Assistant Coaches. NDAFC welcomes any member to nominate as an assistant coach leading to future coaching appointments.
Coaches and assistant coaches need to be registered in coach.afl and playHq. The coach registration includes level 1 training and annual AFL NSW ACT mandatory continuation training modules. Coach fees will be paid for by AFL NSW ACT or the club.
Managers. The role of team manager is vitally important for smooth operation of all teams off field requirements at training, pre, posts and during games. This allows the coach to focus on the player development and game requirements.
Working with Children Checks (WWCC). All coaches and managers required current WWCC to cover engagement with older Juniors aged 16 to 18 years playing up in Senior Grades and for Tigers Academy . Much easier to renew before expires. Visit Service NSW to apply .
Coaches and Managers will be in contact with their team players to provide their contact email and phone numbers directly via other channels

Senior Game Day Roles / Volunteers
Community sporting clubs like ours are only able to function with the active involvement of all club members. We have an all hands on deck approach. There are many ways you can help.
Game Officials. All teams are required to fill the mandatory officials roles on game day in accordance with AFLSC by laws, including: Ground Manager, Timekeeper, Umpire Escort, Sport Trainer / Qualified Medical Professional / Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) at home; and Team Runner, Water Runner at all games. Boundary/ goal and field umpires are provided by the league. Some lower grades host clubs maybe required to provide umpires. Being out there helping to run the game is a great way to support out club and teams. Please send nominations to [email protected] or to your team manager. ERC training requirements are outline below.
Fundraising. The Club conducts a number of fundraising activities to raise money for player equipment and capital projects. These include the Bunnings BBQs, social events and raffles. Assistance is sought from Tigers Community to run these events.
Canteen and BBQ. The Club operates a canteen and BBQ at all home games to provide a service to players and spectators. This is a key part of club fundraising. The canteen is managed canteen coordinators and staffed from players from all teams. See canteen section for more detail.
We understand that it can seem a little intimidating to put your hand up if you have never done these roles before! Help and guidance from other experienced members is always available and training on the job as required. Roles can be shared

Senior Injury Management
Injury Management is a vital function on game day. Each senior team will require a level 1/2 sports trainer or Qualified Medical Professional (QLM) or Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) TBC. To be an Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) you need to have completed a certified AFL ERC course. All ERC training is funded by the club through a local certified training provider in Wollongong. Training is conducted on weekends and/or weeknights or online in Feb / Mar each year. The prerequisite for ERC training is current certified first aid course. Please send nominations for Sport Trainer / QMP / ERC training to our First Air Coordinator.
